Welcome to the home of Dixylan British shorthairs, the name Dixylan came from a street I once lived in, whilst trying to register a prefix with the GCCF, without much luck I glanced out of my window and saw the name of my street Dixie Lane, this was my last attempt after 16 failures, Dixylan has been made from this street name. Dixie is an old english name for a large iron cooking pot which explains how a British should be large and round.! I found my present house after 6 years of looking for a village property that could satisfy my hobby of breeding and showing my cats. I have lived here 13 years now.
5 years ago we opened our Boarding Cattery and I am now busy looking after Village cats all year round.

My girls take it in turn to come into the house for a week at a time! but they much prefer to be outside watching all the birds that we have in our garden.
